We are pleased to have reached an agreement with the football club chairman Chris Day that will allow this year’s Bracknell Ale & Wine Festival to take place on the pitch.

The organising team of Tom Canning and Michael Keen are looking to build on the overwhelming success of last years event and have secured use of the pitch. Marquees will also be hired, just in case the weather turns against us and it is hoped, subject to licensing that the live music will take place in the marquees.

Keen said: “Every year we try and improve the festival. Last year we had an overwhelming response in terms of attendees and we hope the additional space provided by the football pitch will allow us to grow continue to grow.

“We also noticed, despite providing all the tables and chairs we could via the club, there weren’t enough, so we’d like to encourage visitors to bring any camping chairs and picnic blankets with them.”

The event, which takes place on Sunday 25th May, the second Bank Holiday weekend in May, will feature over 20 real ales sourced locally and both wine and cider.

Tickets for the event are on sale now priced £5 for adults and £2.50 OAPs at www.bracknellalefestival.co.uk
