Bracknell Ale & Wine Festival got a glowing review in the latest issue of the CAMRA’s South East Berkshire branch magazine ‘Mad Cow’ – as well as a picture on the front page.
The article, written by Jeremy Barber the magazine co-ordinator who attended the event, and the earlier ‘Meet the Brewer’ event held with Windsor & Eton Brewery at the club earlier in the year – was impressed with the show the club put on, not to mention the weather, which could not have been better.
He said: This event has irrefutably grown in its 4 year existence at Bracknell Town Football Club, now spilling onto the pitch It should be said they were incredibly fortunate with the weather, the glorious sun shone all day to provide a superb day for a superb event.
The festival is an annual event held on the second May bank holiday at Bracknell Town Football Club’s ground at Larges Lane, and is one of the clubs biggest fundraisers.
This year there were 24 real ales, five ciders and locally produced wine, as well as a hog roast and live bands who played all afternoon.
The 2015 event will take place again at the club, on Sunday 24th May. To find out more keep up with details on the website www.bracknellalefestival.co.uk or like the facebook page here, or follow on twitter @bracknellalefst
