As the Festival nears, we thought we’d pull together some of the frequently asked questions into a handy guide to the Biltong Emporium sponsored Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival 2019 at Bracknell Rugby Club.

Q. What time does Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival start?
The Festival starts at midday and closes at 10.30pm on Saturday 4th June 2022.
Q. What if it rains?
Don’t worry, we’ve got a huge marquee to cover you up and we have plenty of extra cover; we also don’t mind brollies or gazebos (but please make sure they are pegged out – we cannot allow any guy ropes).
Q. Where is the Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival?
Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival is hosted at Bracknell Rugby Football Club, Lily Hill Drive, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 2UG. It is within easy walking distance (20 minutes) of Bracknell Town Centre and Bracknell Railway Station.

Q. I am coming from a bit further away. Is there somewhere I can stay?
You bet! We’ve got a list of local hotels here. You can also hop on the train from where ever you are and when you get to Bracknell Railway Station, use the shuttle bus to get to the site. Details and fares here.
Q. Will I be able to get other drinks beside real ale?
As well as 60+ real ales (all the breweries are here), we will have locally cider available as well as a range of gins, Prosecco, Pimm’s, wine and a great craft beer bar. The Club’s main bar will be open and serves typical draught lager on pump. The Club also stocks a huge range of bottled beers, spirits and ciders from Becks to Magners and Vodka.
Q. Can I help at the Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival?

Q. How much is a ticket to Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival?
Early Bird tickets to the Festival are priced at £12.50 for adults £5 for CAMRA and approved local Sports Club members.

Q. Are there discounted tickets?
Aside from buying in advance, if your are a fully paid up, card holding member of CAMRA then you are entitled to entry to the festival for £5.
Members of Bracknell Town Football Club, Bracknell Bees Ice Hockey Club, Bracknell Rugby Club, Bracknell Cricket Club, Bracknell Athletic Club, Binfield FC, Wokingham & Emmbrook FC and more, there is a full list here. Please note you must show a valid membership card or season ticket.
You can also get free tickets if your business becomes a festival sponsor.
Q. Will you have enough seating this year?
Seating is available on site but limited. The main Festival area is on the pitch at Lily Hill Park. We are happy for attendees to bring their own picnic chairs and tables/blankets and gazebos but at your own risk. Any furniture left behind will be disposed of unless prior arrangement with a Club official.
Q. What food is available at the Festival?
We are happy to say that once again we have the Food Court including food from Biltong Emporium and many other delicious options.
Q. Can we bring our own chairs and tables?
You are more than welcome to bring your own picnic chairs and tables/blankets and gazebos. With the Festival on the Lily Hill Park pitch. Any furniture left behind will be disposed of unless prior arrangement with a Club official.
Q. Can I bring the kids?
You are welcome to bring children to the Festival, but we don’t specifically cater for them and all the usual licencing laws apply. On that note – all over 18s will be required to wear a wristband and those lucky enough to look 25 or under may get challenged for I.D.
There is no charge to enter the Festival site for under 18s.
Q. What is the price of a beer?
The price for ale, lager and cider available from the Ale & Cider Bar is to be confirmed. You will need to purchase half pint tokens from our Token Station next to the Bar. Card payment at the Token Station is preferred.
Q. Do you have card facilities at the Club yet?
Card facilities exist across the Festival Site.
Q. Can my company get involved in the Festival?

Q. What is the Festival for?
The Festival primarily raises awareness of Bracknell Rugby Club and secondarily as a fundraiser. The Club and Festival is organised by unpaid volunteers and relies on fundraising and donations to continue.
