We’ve been looking forlornly at the weather websites over the last few days and they all suggest Saturday might be a bit damp. I sincerely hope not, and that Michael Fish is in fact wrong again.
But just in case, the Bracknell Town FC Ale & Wine Festival team have put in place a plan B in case it does rain, with a little help from 6th Bracknell Scout Group.
The Ale & Wine will still be based in the club house, but we have also now been loaned a large marquee to ensure that Festival goers are sheltered from any storms.
Festival co-organiser Tom Canning said: “A large part of the Ale & Wine Festival takes place outside and we’d hoped that the sun would be out, but I am not convinced that will happen.
“To make sure the festival goes ahead and we encourage as many of you to come down for the day as possible, we’ve hired a marquee from 6th Bracknell Scout Group to shelter you all!
“So please don’t stay away if it does get a little wet out, we will still have music, beer and wine. A perfect afternoon if you ask me!”.
