Around 30 beer enthusiasts descended on Larges Lane last night for the clubs first ever ‘Meet the Brewer‘ event with Windsor & Eton Brewery.
The event, which helped launch this year’s Bracknell Ale & Wine Festival 2014 sponsored by Think Ford, was well attended and visitors were treated to a presentation by Paddy Johnson from the brewery, and got to try over 10 different beers from the Windsor range.
Amongst attendees were visitors from West Berkshire, and South East Berks CAMRA organisations as well as a number of club members and new visitors.
After the presentation and tasting, the group were able to try halves and pints of three Windsor beers on draught including Zinzan’s Drop, Guardsman and Windsor Knot.
The event was to promote the clubs beer festival which takes place on Sunday 25th May 2014 as part of the Bank Holiday weekend where we’ll have over 20 real ales as well as wine and cider, live music and a hog roast in the evening.

Organiser Michael Keen said: “I just want to thank Windsor & Eton for taking the time to come and see us, it was a really good event and great to see some new faces at the club.
“We’re fully geared up now for our beer festival in May and I think there was a fair bit of excitement in the room.”
Tickets are on sale now priced £5 for adults and £2.50 concessions. CAMRA members get free entry on presentation of a valid membership card. You can buy tickets online here.
