Despite ordering ordering more beer, wine and cider than ever before, Bracknell Ale & Wine Festival proved a sell-out success for over a 1,000 thirsty visitors to Bracknell Town Football Club as records were broken on Sunday afternoon.
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, crowds flocked to the pitch at Larges Lane for the one day event and drank the bar dry. Attendance records tumbled for the beer festival with 300 more attendees than the previous year and record numbers of beer (30 barrells), wine and cider consumed.

It was a good natured, lively afternoon as real ale aficionado’s and rookies alike enjoyed pints of Captain B and Gravitas – and when the rain did briefly threaten out came the brollies for a few moments.
The event featured on site food vendors en masse for the first time with everything from Caribbean cuisine to hog roast enjoyed by festival goers.
Live music proved a hit too – 16-year-old Abi Powell impressing audiences while Up2NoGood provided some good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll and The Infuence and State of Euphoria delighted younger members of the audience.
All the money raised from the event goes straight to Bracknell Town Football Club – who’s volunteers organise the day – and can expect a record sum thanks to the complete sell-out of everything bought in for the event.
